This repository is a part of the Coinwink app where the logos are being used. In such a case, the script replaces the missing logo with the placeholder image from the dummy folder. In any case, the last 10 logos are always overwritten. If there are no new logos available, the script simply replaces the last 10 attempted logos with the placeholder image. To download new logos, run the PHP script for your desired logo dimensions. Logos are named according to their CoinMarketCap id, where the Bitcoin id is 1, and all other coins get their ids incrementally according to the date they were added to CMC. Other 3984 logos, available in this repository but not visible in the readme below, are for coins and tokens that can be considered "dead" (speaking in cryptocurrency terms). Out of the total 8030 cryptocurrencies, currently are active only 4046. Their slugs (names) are visible in the alt tag of each logo.
